Hey, my name is Joe and my user name is rarefish, based on my resto project. It's a 68 Formula S 383 , 4spd Cuda convert. I first saw this car in the early 70's as a high school kid. I finally bought it in 1999 from the original owner. It's all #'s matching, the engine and trans are finished and I'm looking for a good body man to finish up and put the car back together.

Next to the Cuda I'm hooked on the early Hemi. When I was 16 I found a Dodge Super Red Ram 270 in an engine pile at the local junk yard for 25 bucks, have wanted a Hemi rod ever since.

My week end cruiser is a 66 Fury III convert with a 318 poly, 56K original mile car that's just plain fun to drive.

I love to bench race about the old days and I keep it honest. I was lucky to be a teen in the 70's with a job who loved cars, so I owned more cool cars than should be legal, alot were projects that never got finished. I have pictures of lots of them that I'll post as I get used to the site.

The one car I can't find pics of is one I know most of you would like to see. If anyone out there has some I'd love to get copies. It was a Rod built by a guy named Weintz in the Baltimore area in 1952. It was a 37 Cord 810 4 door with a 48 Lincoln nose grafted on. It had an early Olds Rocket V8 (303 ci ?) with an Offy 6 Stromberg set up, 4 spd auto, and a Columbia 2 spd rear.

I know this is a kinda long intro but once I get to talkin cars it's hard to stop. Lookin forward to shootin the stuff with you all, Joe.

Hey rarefish, welcome from Glen Burnie Md.

Back in 69 thru 78 I owned and raced a 68 Formula S 340 fastback in Ohio at Magnolia. 'The Green B' Here she is with my pit crew.

Turned best time of 13.95/105 in Aug 73 against Dan Kennedy, in a 72 Challenger 340 6-pk. Beat him so badly he traded his dodge in on a 69 Hemi Roadrunner ;-) Dan was not a happy camper that Saturday evening!!
