  1. It was 1200 cdn.
As cool as the Flathead would be, the Y-block runs good and should bolt right in with out too much h***le. I'm not 100% sure but I belive the Y-block is 332 cid, its in a 1958 F-700 Cabover right now. And it has factory Rams Horn exhaust manifolds!

Looks good! While you're painting and detailing, paint the axle ends, lug nuts, and and everything else in the middle of the rims BLACK! It'll make it look like less of a rattle can job.

And don't forget about the running boards. :)

    Amazing deal for 1200...

    We're Canadian's, we're special.

  6. This question has been answered numerous times already in this thread. Canada used flatheads in 1954. 1955 came with a 272 Y block. No such thing as a 239 overhead in Canada.

Very nice score for the $$$! I would paint the wheels and running boards black, and the axle hubs and lug nuts to look cast gray, and accent the wheel edges with a thin 1/4" red edging. But, that's me. Nice truck, in any case!!!

Get that engine running and drive the tires off it!

Not to be picky, I not going to argue the Canadain Fords ran flatheads in 1954 but would'nt that make it a Mercury truck? This one is a Ford. I always thought all Canadian Ford trucks were Mercurys.

I don't think you got burned at all for what you paid for it even with the motor goin south. The only other thing to worry about is the rear end gearing, I'm sure their going to be in the 5:?? range not to highway friendly. My 57 F350 has 5:38's!!
