Just wondering, as most of you know I sold my coupe some year and some months ago and didnt have a need. Just got a 50 ford coupe and debating it. How many members have Alliance memberships?

I bought mine more in the spirit of helping Ryan keep the site alive. I enjoy reading the posts and seeing some really fine hot rods and customs. I kind of relate not being an alliance member, to standing at the newstand and reading all the magazines without buying one. Not bashing anyone who is not an Alliance Member, just my opinion.

In all fairness I'm sure there are non-Alliance Members who help Ryan out in other ways, i.e, HAMB auctions, monitoring the board, etc. I just don't have the time or knowledge to get technically involved. It's a great site, and If you consider the amount of time and information available, the membership cost is very fair. JMO Stu

For more than a decade, Ryan has run this joint out of his heart and back pocket. He has done a hell of alot for us, now what can WE do for HIM??

    Buy an Alliance membership.

Telling you straight up. For the discount. But I'll keep it cause this is better than all the rod mags you can buy.

  5. I always forget about the discount until I've aready ordered something. I am looking forward to the day that I can rock my tag on my finished hot rod for sure!

Oh, and I thought it would look cooler than FNG or newbie....

Simply to support Ryan and the HAMB. The discount and tag are just really nice benefits.
Pretty much exactly what Abone said..

I belong to help support the site. I am sure a message board this large does not come cheap. I have received so much help and direction from the HAMB it is a small price to pay.

Tony, you have hit the nail squarely on the head. I can't think of a better use of my $50! The enjoyment and knowledge I get from the HAMB simply cannot be matched - anywhere.

  9. DEFINATELLY, for the support of this site and for Ryan. I spend much more on magazines in a year and get much less. The site gives me more material and tech in the interests I have than the 4 huge plastic tubs of mags I have combined!!!

The discounts are nice but come secondary. As for the tag, lets just say its HAMB candy!!

Thanks again Ryan and all moderators, keep up the good work!!!!

    Join the alliance!!!

i got an alliance membership when the alliance first rolled out... made me feel good tossin some back at Ryan for what he does to keep this place afloat... money got tight, so i didnt renew mine. i still toss out an auction or two when i can... hell the last one brought $50 so, i guess thats just as good as a membership

point is this... the alliance was never about the tag, the discounts, the deals... to me it was about givin ryan a lil taste. plane and simple. the rest was icing on the cake

those who got memberships just for the tags... just dont get it

The Alliance tags just sit in a pile in my office and I never remember to use the discount, so I guess I just pay up so I don't feel so guilty for all the free entertainment

I bought mine to support the HAMB and will do so in the future pretty much for that reason. I have only used the discount once but expect to use it again. I have not installed the tag and am not sure where I would put it. I may just hang it on the garage wall along with all the dash plaques, etc.

Well we have to pay for Ryan's new high rise office somehow
To me the event coverage the tech info and humor well covers the cost,
And you DONT have to pay.....All in all a real cheap babysitter for us hotrodders

  22. support of the forum -have used the discounts a few times to support those that support Ryan's cause - I believe I am almost due for my third year sub in August/Sept I do not regret it at all -now I will have to get athird car to put the tag on-oh damn !!

Mostly to support the site, but also to have something on display that identifies my basic interest in the hot rod hobby. I'm not into Kulture as some seem to be. I'm old, decrepit, have no tattoos or piercings....I'm just old school, and appreciate what the HAMB does for the hobby, and what Ryan has done for a group of folks with similiar interests. I even learn stuff in here.

I'm glad to help support the board.......as well as getting a hundred times the $50 in laughs at some of the posts and good info with the Tech posts. Met a lot of new guys & gals here and am able to keep up some old friendships, as well. I've only used the discount a couple of times, but I'm sure I will be using it again soon.

The HAMB shakes my frustrations and gets me in the mood to get back out to my shop and ****** my knuckles for yet another day. Least I can do is to contribute.

....one more thing...I bought the wide whites for the Merc from Coker and saved 60 bucks.

    Just an example. -Abone.

I figure the plaque's worth $10, and I know I save over $100 a year after buying parts/ magazines/shirts/ etc... + shipping discounts... I love my free shipping from The Hot Rod Company! Only with an Alliance Membership!
