I just wanted to take a second to introduce myself. My name is Richard and cars are my life. By day I am on the elite sales team at Reliable Chevrolet in Richardson TX but every chance I get I am home working on something in my small shop behide my house. I like anything that is RWD and crafted well and is fast. I always loved rods when I was a kid but when it came to close to time to drive I got into VW's since they were so cheap with lots of similarities to rods. All the rich kids in school with thier new Mustang GT's hated to get whipped up my 1956 13 sec bug. Over the years I got into muscle cars and have been building on a 78 Malibu street / strip car since 98. With the exception of engine machine work and the trany build I have done everything to the car myself. Its runs 7.90's 1/8th strait motor and looks and sounds like grama drives it. Recently I have been getting the urge for a rod and have always had an affliction for fat fender Fords. I now have a 40 2dr std to work on which is my dream car since I was a little kid. I ran in to Django on a Chevelle site and he told me about this place. I have been checking it out and really like what I see. Odly enough it turns out that there are several guys on here from TX that I already know. I have seen Suse, Mike, Danny, and Pat on here which have some of the coolest cars I have seen around. Here is what I have so far. The worthless 305 will be gone soon for something that makes real power. Here it is two weeks ago. My arms still hurt from buffing and sanding.
Welcome! I'm just down the street from you in Mesquite! Cool 40! I dig the red body/black wheels thing.

[ QUOTE ] You can learn alot hanging around these guys. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not too sure thats a good thing.....he'll be wanting to strip the paint on the car and let it rust over before to long.
[ QUOTE ] Dirty31 good to see you on here to. Has Suse tried to do any more curb jumping with your car? [/ QUOTE ] Oh no!!! You had to remind me. Scared the hell out of me. I know he did not meant to do it but oh well. Welcome aboard
Now here is somebody worth replying too. I apologize for you not having a 4 page welcome like jimmydeansgirl, who just signed on. I say welcome to the H.A.M.B. You'll fit right in..
Thanks again. I went ahead and beat on the caps a little to tighten them up. I went ahead and put them on and it looks even better. Dirty2 and Elrusto congrats to both of you on getting awards last weekend.
