Got my 4th Alliance tag awhile ago and its pinned to the bullitin board along with the first 3 right next to the computer. I haven't used the discount yet but with all of my projects it's bound to happen. My primary motivation is to support the HAMB. At $50/year it's the best bargain in car crafting. You can't buy what the HAMB provides for many times the Alliance membership Thanks Ryan for all you do.

I know it has been said a bunch before, but I did it to support the site. And will renew when the time comes.

As many have stated above, my membership was to show support and to contribute something. I've had more fun with this site than anything else on the internet. One of these days, I'd like to meet Ryan and shake his hand.

  8. I want to support this site. I love old hot rods and really enjoy watching the builds come together. I wish I had the resources (time, money, garage space) to make my own happen.

I invest in what I believe in. Don't need the tag (but it's nice). Haven't used the discounts (yet). Still, this site is worth every penny of my membership.

Figured Ryan could use another smoking jacket. Also I know a great deal when I see it, and it's the right thing to do.

If you buy it or bought it mainly for the discount or the plaque, you certainly have purchased it for the WRONG reason, those are nothing more than a sweet gratuity. It is to proliferate the well being of this forum which, I think I am not alone when I say this, is probably the largest wealth of information from some of the most talented folks gathered together in one place for a united interest. And all thanks to our benevelant leader, that guy that just got himself a little outhouse to do his HAMBin' in. Thanks Ryan.

  17. Everyone else was doing it and I felt left out.

Just seemed like a cool thing to do to help the HAMB out. Never used a discount, like others I keep forgetting you can, besides I don't know of anyone in Australia offering a HAMB discount?

I guess I stay a member now as THIS is my club now?

It's all for the support of the site. Heck, I don't even have a finished firewall to put a tag on yet! (see my signature line)

Five pages of , Ditto... It's all about support. I kept my mouth shut with no username, and ****ed on the hind *** for a few years before finally deciding to join. Looking back, I wish I would have joined a long time ago. I hate that Jan 2009 under my name. It is what it is.

It was a small honor for me to buy my Alliance membership from him personally at the Roundup this year. He stamped my tag in front of me. I took pictures and giggled like a little kid...

Cause this is the best intertainment $50 can buy.

  26. There was a hole in my firewall and the tag was a perfect fit.....

  27. It's all about the support(is there an echo in here?...);haven't availed myself of the discounts, but they may come in handy if I get me an old B-body. If that occurs,I'll find a place for the tag. Thanks to Ryan for what you do for US!

    Check's in the mail-no,seriously,it is...

Thanks for the thread. I've been thinking about joining simply because I feel guilty about asking questions and not being a member. But about the time I get ready to pull the trigger I read a post by someone slamming someone else for not searching, asking a reasonable question, etc. and I think "do I want to be a part of this". However this thread made me realize I've never looked to see if those "jerk" posters are alliance members. I will now and make a decision based on that.

When I joined I began to read all the articles and realized that there is a world of information on this site. Reading a little about the site I joined just for the purpose of supporting the HAMB, I didn't have any idea about discounts or Alliance vendors at that time but after 3 months of member ship discovered the Vendors page and bought some custom wheels and the discount I got more than paid for the membership. This was just an additional perk totally unexpected. Its the best money I ever spent. I appreciate al the work Ryan does to keep this site up and running and hope it is with us for many more years to come.
