How could i find out if there are any old school hot rod shows in Tallah***e Florida? (just moved here to go to FSU) thanks. i just built this, but now i wanna get into cars too. (if i ever get some money....) It's a norton.
Welcome to Tally! I've lived here a few years, but sadly haven't seen much in the way of "old school". Shows, clubs, nothing... I did see Duck's car at the last Goodguys event we had here, but that place was swarming with checkbook street rods. A lot of other cool cars there, though - don't think there were that many that were locals. If you see a guy driving a blue and white '55 Chevy four-door around town, that's me. Stop me and chat anytime... There's a few street rod clubs in town, but they don't really cater too much to the younger crowd. They have all been freindly to me, though. Can't say anything bad about anybody in town, most of them are just older and can afford a nice restored cl***ic. The last saturday night of each month there is a cruise-in at the Whataburger on Thomasville Rd. I make it out there sometimes. There's a nice chopped merc that shows up there often, and a bunch of 50's and 60's cars, most of them fully restored. If you need any help with anything, let me know. (My wife works at FSU, by the way.)

I'm a '91 FSU alum & my sister-in-law & fam live there, so I get there whenever I'm back in town. Can't help with the original question - 'bout all I know these days is there's that antique museum on Mahan (US90 east)... In fact, I don't remember much from college My motto was, "Never ever let your education get in the way of going to college"
Go Noles! Graduated in '96 and moved to Cali. I still miss that girl to guy ratio of 5:1, though. Sounds like you need to start a Kustom Kar Kruise Night at the Krispy Kreme! Gotta love that Guthries. Ask the chick at the drive through how many fingers fit in her box (chicken finger box, that is) We always got a kick out of that one. I tooled aroun in a slammed '64 Falcon Wagon. Damn I miss that ride! And that town!
