Well Robbie, that may very well be so, and for the I to apologize. You seem to be a smart young man so please keep this in mind though there's nothing wrong with having or voicing your opinion, but remember, voicing your opinion &/or freedom of speech also has a consequence if your offending someone.

It doesn't matter what phrase it is, people hate the phrase becuz it makes you part of the latest "trend". And rat rods are the latest "trend". Just becuz someone labels a car as a rat rod doesn't automatically make it some dangerous POS. Look at Sams "Roach Rod" (tm). Its about as cool a rod as can be built. Yet if StreetRodder snapped a shot of it at a show or run, it would w/o a doubt be labeled as a rat rod in their article.

Personally, anyone who gets so worked up about 2 little words needs to see a shrink. Build what you like, let others call it what they want. An unsafe rod it a **** box on wheels no matter what the owner calls it.

Rat rod, rat rod, rat rod, rat rod, rat rod- just 2 little words. Deal with it.
