I have a 36 " wysong shear and I just got the blades sharpened and was wondering if anybody knows what the gap is for the blade adjustment

when ever I had to flip mine it was flush, no gap. if there is a gap you will get a burr on the cut.

My Niagra 36" shear (16 gage), I adjust the blades to between 0.004 and 0.006 inches. I've found that if I'm cutting AK, the blades need to be a little tighter; like in the 0.004" range, to all the way across the sheet.

What is your shear rated at?

Not positive about a Wysong (though we have one at work), but .005" max seems right. Our big shears have that tolerance as well.
