Didn't feel like reading everyones response, but I'm on the "just got it to support the HAMB" boat. The discounts are a nice bonus, except I've only used it on my magazine subscription.

I've been on for a minute. Going to make it official as soon as I get home or when I get back from Denver. I'm working on my own blog type site. I know its hard and all the support is needed.

Anybody that has been around for a while knows that there isn't enough that we can do to support Ryan's efforts. Look at the top of the first page at the auctions and you'll understand. I've been on both ends of that. I have put up items a couple times and when I totaled my car last year, Johnny Ace & Kali and Scary Larry both put up auctions to help me!
I have made SO many friends over the years I have been on here, I could never repay Ryan. The plaque, to me, is priceless. When I was putting "IZZY" together, I bought a new set of Coker wide whites (and got my Alliance discount) with the proceeds from one of the auctions (thanks again "ThrottleJockey").
Why join the Alliance?? If you don't you're missing out.............

While the burgundy screen name is a real plus, the previously mentioned Wilford Brimleyism " 'cause it's the right thing to do" seems most appropriate.

I don't know if I'll use the discounts anytime soon. I became a member to support Ryan because I believe what he is doing is a good thing.

For the discount, of course, and to help the cause. Since I don't have a official HAMB style car, I doubt I'll ever use the tag. Gary

I reup every year to support Rayns efforts and for all the neat projects I get to look at. Where else can you be invited into someone's shop to see their latest project and not get punched out for *****ing about his design. Most of the builders take the criticism far better than I would. This site has some of the most gifted craftsman building some of the best cars that I have ever seen in their home garage or shed. Also I enjoy the daily stories in the Jalopy Journal that Ryan takes the time to research and find, I can ***ure you that it is a lot of work, more than I would be willing to do.

I bought mine to support all of Ryan's efforts to keep it going, growing and improving!

just got my tag today. nice, very impressed. I spend so much time on here I though it was only fair to pay my part. I'm broke so won't be buying anything from vendors anytime soon. I'm more of a lowrider, cl***ic guy then a hot rodder but in the end we are all car guys and its places like this that keep me sane.

For me it is to show Ryan my support. I have found out so much technical info here that would have been impossible other wise. ALL the HAMB folks with all there photos and stories are priceless. Each time on log on its like being in school and learning from the masters. Thanks Ryan. Thanks HAMB members. Slim

  30. B/c I don't know where I'd go if this site shut down. Where would I get my car laughs and ask questions about the stuff I can't do myself?
