I have a 31 ford coupe which will be on a kiwi konnection av8 frame with a 32 ford grill shell how well does the 30-31 ford model a 4 piece(2 hinged top piece with long luevered side panels) match up to the grill?

What hoods are people using for this set up? A 32 grill and hood with a 31 coupe body or a 32 grill with a 31 hood and body? Maiy curious if the contor of the hood matches the grill shells.... I supposse I could buy a full 31 hood and have my tin guy make the top and utilize the side pieces with larger long luevers

    yup.

I'm running a 32 commercial grill shell with a 31 hood and it works great. (tonight I'll be trying out my gennie 32 PASSENGER shell I just got! :D :D :D ) On 31 Model A frame.

It will depend if your body is sitting on the 32 frame the same distance from the grill shell as a model A is. 32 hoods are longer I thought.

The Rootlieb website (or is it their catalog??) gives original dimensions for both Model A and `32 hoods. If I recall correctly, the `32 hood is about 3" longer -- and yes, that's a `32 hood hinge.

What hood do you think this is? 32? This is the style I'm going for exactly if I run a av8 duece frame from kiwi the wheel base is longer and the a hood might be so short... Anyone make reproduction hoods with the big luevers not te short 3 inch ones

  11. that hood might of been streched or it could be anaftermarket hood. i know that i have to strech my hood a inch to an inch and a half, either that or shell out a shit load of money for a after market one.

this is the hood I believe I'd love to run one you guys are saying the 32 hoods line up to the 31 body cowl? The dimensions are different on the website. What are these hoods retailing for? How much is a bunch? 500-1000-2000?

get a 31 hood made to whatever length you need. a 31 hood will fit to a 32 grill shell. They can even make you a 31 hood with 32 hinge and it will still fit the 32 grill shell.

Basically tell that company what ever you want and they will make it.
