It's ugly!! Still salvagable though. I'd be more interested in the chopped 53-55 pickup parked next to it.

damn, in fifty years, somebody is going to have a thriving business reuniting shoebox ford front and rear clips to the rest of their original bodies, as well as restoring 90's t-birds and lincolns!

i guess somebody thought this was the logical alternative to the "bird in a box" fad.

What do you think happened to those poor people in the Lincoln when it got rear-ended by the "50 Ford? Bloody mess I suspect. Looks like it's parked in the right place though, a junkyard!

  8. Aside from that gangsta mod, THAT PLACE IS AMAZING!!! I bought a 36 ford roadster emblem that Myers and I had to practically fight over. It's pretty bitchin! I got it for TEN BUCKS!!! [IMG] I have to go to Springfield this weekend for a wedding so I'll be stopping by on the way back home.

It turns something but I think it's my stomach. Good thing for this guy we live in a free country or the bad taste Nazis would have shot him by now.

Rev Great find!! Sorry Jake, I photo shop'd out the slober. I'm going back next weekend after the Carthage show. I'm still thinking about making a firewall, or a grill insert out of the ironing board.

  11. That's a good pic of the ironing board too! Now you can start drawing up a concept of what the hell to do with it! [IMG]

I'm so glad you got a pic of me and my "new" emblem, I think I'll print it and mail it to Myers as a Christmas card. [IMG]

Here is a picture from the Stray Kat 500. This would change the topic "What you could do to a 49 Ford."

I know it's an old thread, but I've never seen that '49 "Ranchero" and kind of like it. It could use some help (grille wheelcovers, side trim, etc.), but I wouldn't mind owning it. I had a friend in high school in the '50's that had one and it was extremely well done and practical.

If my car was a Fordoor instead of a club coupe, I'd consider doing this.

Thanks for posting those pictures.. it gives me a chance to use a Rod Serling Quote I have been hanging onto...

Each is a collectors' item in its own way - not because of any special artistic quality, but because each captures , and suspends in time and space, a frozen moment of a nightmare.
