Lovely car here... http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/09/its-miller-time-one-of-a-kind-v16-racer-on-the-block-at-rm-mon/
If I recall correctly, this engine (which I was fortunate to see and hear at Milwaukee in '05) fires two cylinders at a time, which gave it a unique hollow sort of roar. Seeing all those little carbs in there is so sweet. The finish on this car is astonishing.
I think all the hours of polishing all those parts was a complete waste of time, just like grinding down a block smooth. Don't make it go no faster. Yeah, right. I'm kidding of course, that thing is pure automotive beauty and worth every minute spent on it. This is what happens when you make something beautiful and kick *** at the same time.
Listen to this engine here! http://www.milleroffy.com/miller_v16.rm http://www.milleroffy.com/miller_v16_revs.rm http://www.milleroffy.com/miller_v16_****pit.rm
Harry Miller - what a legend - he gathered together the greatest engineering minds of the time & created masterpieces. The guy was an artist & a genius, shame he wasn't money savvy
Simply stunning! Miller, America's answer to Bugatti. Both are a thing beauty and elegance & both marques are were incredible race cars. Those sound bytes from the milleroffy site I have had saved since 2001 pure mechanical music.
Looks like it may be some pieces for clampin' a couple of leaves together, for tuning purposes................And it being ***ociated with Miller, well, it had to be just so!!!
