I had inquired about this truck about 6 months ago but lost the contact info. Finally got back in touch with him and he still had it for sale.I talked myself into buying it.Completely stock older "fixed up" car, virtually rust free.Runs and drives pretty good.

For right now I am just going to enjoy it as it is until I finish my 34 pickup.Later on I am thinking about hopping up the banger, maybe put a 5 speed behind it,lowering it,1935 wire wheels, and chrome radiator shell and windshield..red paint...Who knows from there....I've got a 348 hiding in the corner, waiting for the right car......

Somehow I think that the 348 won't even be in play after you cruise around in it this summer as is. I'm betting a hopped up banger or a flathead will be more on your mind.

Very nice! I'd leave it like it is except for maybe some hop-ups from the day. And I'll be rude and ask what you paid for it.:)

Some consider it rude but I think its natural to try to find out what the value on these old cars is.Considering he delivered it to me from a long way off,I would say I have about 7500 in it.
Yeah,I was thinking maybe this winter I might put a couple of downdraft carbs on it and research some more of the old hop up ideas from back in the day.

Great ideas! Especially the hopped-up banger. Love those 348s, but somehow that doesn't seem like the right car for it.

    Enjoy that great looking RPU

Nice RPU, it seems to be the best way to find good build material in the deep south is to get a car that has been rstored in years past. The way the heat a humidity rots the tin in these parts there's not much original old vintage tin left, unlike the northwest and southwest. Great find, I like the hopped-up banger idea as well!
