History '58 Chevy Apache Panel Truck info.

Hoping someone can help me with a question I have about my new addition. I just got a 1958 Apache Panel Truck and there are windows on the sides. I was told this is original to this Panel but I have my doubts. If anyone has information I would gladly take it. I am attaching a photo although it isnt the clearest. I will upload more this weekend. Thank you

 

nope, panels were solid on the sides, suburbans had sliding windows, and they look like they were made that way

My friend had one that was an ambulance from Santa Monica with windows.

 

Didn't come from Chevy with windows, did it? they were installed by the conversion company....

 

This one was originaly all yellow and from cali. I imagine it was a special purpose truck modded by a conversion company, as you said.

 

Ive seen people ad windows from a truck camper shell. Could be that.

 

On youtube a saw a couple of guys working on a panel with the same sort of windows.
They said it was a factory option.
I looked in to it,but coud'nt find anything about.
(as I have a 58 panel myself)
But it surprised me that yours look like the ones they had.
