50 chevy two door sedan....not the solenoids but the poppers themselves...doesnt seem to be many options....the upper rear corner where the small bumper goes seems to be the only decent place....just wanna ask before i screw up..thanks
in my 53 they are in the lower corner of the door and work very well..you can also have the in the front door jam as well but they do work better at the lower corner of the door..
In my '52 Buick I put them on the hing side of the doors, I replaced the dome light switch with a spring popper basically, you would hit the ****on to unlock/open the door and it woudl push it out enough for you to grab it.
On my '49 Cad I thought I would need poppers. After I replaced the weatherstripping the doors flew open. 15 or so years later they still pop open fine, with no poppers. If you are going to replace the weatherstripping, wait to see how they work. Alden
Agreed...save your money for new weatherstripping...you won't need poppers... R- See my Caddy build here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329070&highlight=the+best+55+caddy+build
