36 Chevy cab type

  5. Definitely is the late/low cab, a species unto itself, is different from '37, not sure exactly everything but I do know the '37 had a higher windshield as we compared the two side by side.
    It's possible the later windshield frame can be cut down to fit.

    The 36 low cab's windshield was straight across the top, the later 37/38 cab's windshield was curved. It looks like the 37/38 cab's windshield was about 5/8" higher than the 36 windshield; something that I hadn't realized before, I just thought that the difference was straight vs curved. It looks like the bottom of the windshield frame might be the same though.

    Another 36 difference from the 37/38, the back window on the 36 is 1 3/4" lower.

    Thanks for all your help on this. Sounds like a 37/38 may not fit even if chopped (?)
    I held a straight edge to the top of the openned and it is slightly curved compared to the straight edge, but appears to the eye to be straight.
