I did a search and found a good thread to answer my questions.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=150576&highlight=donor+roofs BUT... Are the tudor roofs the same as my 30 four dour Sedan..I ***ume they would be the same or close enough... Also why do you need to rotate them 180 degree's Thanks in advance
Sometimes the curve of the roof fits better when you turn them around. That makes for less work installing it.If you get one try fitting it each way before welding it on you will notice it fits one way better than the other... Steve
I used a 64 1/2 to 65 mustang coupe roof skin. We used this in a coupe, dont know if there is enough for a sedan. Fit perfectly!!!!!
Oh man! You are going straight to hell...you do realize that, right? In answer to the original 180* question, just look at the profile of your 30, then look at the profile of these later roofs. Your thirty rises gradually from the windshield, then drops to the back. The newer cars rise up pretty quick from the windshield, then flatten out. They are the same...just different, by 180*.
I was at a shop Tuesday that had a A sedan being built. They got a new replacement roof from a dodge magnum, fit like a glove.
I got a 62 chevy wagon on my 28 sedan (ribbed peaks) & yes it is turned around backwards ! & I just scored a 58 ford for my 31 4door (ribbed valleys) !
The best two I found to this point are any Jeep Cherokee roof from the 90's to present (NOT the Grand Cherokee - the little boxy one) and flip it 180 - it practically welds itself to the car if you're looking for a 4-ribbed roof panel, and for the clean roof, a 57-58 Ford 4 door. Fits like a glove as well.
