So I plan to drive some 200 miles this upcoming weekend to finally work on my 27 coupe for just a couple days and want to get as much done on the body as I can. I really, really need the two lower hinges (just the part that mounts to the door) for one of the doors....

I have had a classified post up for awhile now....im desperate now and broke the rules by posting it here....

If any of you have something that you can get to me by this weekend please PM me. I could probably find some over priced repops, but I prefer the originals

Mods, delete if you have to I will understand

    Thanks in advance,
    David

It appears there are 2 different kinds of hinges for 26-27 doors, the three knuckle ones and the two knuckle ones. Better specify which you need.

already contacted model t haven......they have nothing

I need the three "knuckle" hinges....

    thanks

  5. i think they may be hard to find , the doors are extremely rare...it seams that every `26-`27 T and `28-`29 A pickup is missing at least one. i have two crappy doors here , i wouldn't consider taking the hinges off to sell

it may not be of much help , a while back someone did an excellent tech on making ford A type hinges from scratch. it appeared to be a fair amount of work , but if you have access to metal working tools and a little talent i can't see why they couldn't be made

if i wasn't so lazy i'd look for it and post the link here

Did you try Lang's? ModelTFord.com 1-800-TPARTS-1 They have a good supply of used and NOS stuff and I worked there. You can either ask for Bill, Tom, or if your Lucky get Bruce on the phone as he knows those cars very well, they are the guys that do the digging through the rusty bits and the leftovers from the Ford garages, stuff that we all love pawing through. As stated before there are some differences from early 26 to 27 bodies as revisions were made throughout so have some good details.

stop by when your in town, i have some junk doors that have some hinges on them that you may be able to modify to work for you, they arent correct t lower hinges, but the should be workable. they i believe are T four door doors, so the hinge part should be the same where they go together, just not the length maybe.

    pm me

I know i have a set if your still needing them and are interested. I have one door that had the three knuckle hinges on them. Ended up making my own for the car. If you are in dire straits let me know. -
