Hello I am installing a 350 in my chevy II gasser and am wondering what color to paint my block and engine bay? I don't really know if i want to go with the cliche chevy orange. Thanks Jay.S
I saw a yellow one that really stood out once. What color will the car be painted? Is it up in the front so you can see the block thru the fenderwell? Everything should jive.
(I saw a yellow one that really stood out once. What color will the car be painted? Is it up in the front so you can see the block thru the fenderwell? I messed up on this thread and should of just said show me some gasser engine pics. Thanks for the positive reply! jay.S <!-- / message -->
This tis the only pic of it i have in file at the time so there is more progress. it is an old street machine that has a straight axle and is poorly tubbed. I was wanting something different for a color instead of the same old thing. Did everyone back in the day just use stock colors?
I dont really think engine color was a real concern. Black seems to have been popular, as well as the factory colors. And white headers...if they werent chromed.
there is only 2 proper colors for a SBC. orange or black. use any other color and you may as well wear a Borat man-thong to the next event you attend. don't make me post photos.
haha i had a 305 in my lasst 27 roadster and i jb welded model a grille shell badges to the valve covers and it was always entertaining to see and hear all of the confusion it created
How about dark green with the fake olds rocket valve covers... Seriously what's wrong with original colors? You can NEVER go wrong with that!
i like the factory orange... with white headers...white on the motor is cool but must be a real pain in the ass to keep clean if its a driver.
