Another Pontiac/Olds rear question.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Stevie G, Apr 1, 2006.

  1. Are the wheel bearings the same from 57-64?
    Same from Pontiac to Oldsmobile?
I ask because I can find bearings for a 58 Olds but not a 58 Pontiac.
The 58 Olds part# is the same as the 59 Pontiac part#.
Logic says yes but I need to be sure.

    Thanks again,
    Stevie G

According to a July, 1965 NAPA catalog I have, axle bearings for all Oldsmobubbles (except F85 & F88) are the same from 1956-1964 (part #FS88128R). Ponchos have the same part number listed as the Olds, but only for '59-'64.

NAPA lists part #RW508R for '56-'58 Pontiacs. No listing for earlier Olds.

For future reference, I looked in a G.M. parts catalog, and the same rear wheel bearing number is listed for all Oldsmobile full size from 1949-64.
