Ok I kinda have a wierd deal here. Last fall I picked up a 30 A P/U. It was a basket case for the most part, after I got it I spent a few weeks jamming it together so I could drive it. It runs and drives and I drive it very often. It has a SBC (305) Th350 and a 9" rear. Transverse leaf front and rear. It has been channeld 10" over a stock frame. It is uncomftrable as hell, steers liek **** because of some cracker *** steering that the previous owner put on it. So anyways my plans were to unchannel it, put on a vega type cross steer, and the list goes on.

Well about 5 years ago I picked up a Model A sport coupe that someone tried to make into a RPU. IMO the body looks like hell but it is on a sweet frame with all new radius rods, drop front axle (spring behind) new brakes. All nice stuff, powered by a 292 Chevy, a motor I much prefer over the SBC but just looks like **** because of the body. Soooo I had the briliant idea to put the P/U body on that frame.

Well because of the spring behind design, the 6cyl and the attempt to make a RPU the rear tire would be up to almost the cab of the P/U. I was wondering if anyone has seen somthing like this and has any pictures of it. Right now the P/U has a 30" bed so proportiantly it should look about right. It would kinda have a alterd wheelbase g***er sort of look

    Opinions, ideas, thoughts?

    Man, I give up.

Yea, it'd make a great G***er or maybe you could build a bobber out of it.

Or maybe I could sand it with 180, let it rust and make a floor out out road signs. I think you are missing my point, oh well

I think you might be mistaking "g***er" for "altered" I kind of lost you in the middle of that description. There is nothing in that story that even comes close to a "g***er".

    Jesse,
Nothing wrong with building a pickup like you're talking about, but calling it a g***er kinda sidetracks your thread. A g***er is a stock wheelbased, full fendered, race car. An altered wheelbase g***er is kind of an oxy*****. It gets discussed here about twice a week.
No one that ran a cl*** legal g***er is gonna like an altered wheelbase car (or truck) called a g***er.
Back to your truck........you got any pictures of the frame?
