Got tired of installing poor desined power steering kits with improper sized steering boxs for our customers about 6 years ago. So i designed my own. I spent a few days at the local wrecking yard and found a Delphie power steering box from a 1999 Jeep was real close in size to the stock mercuys box. It only need a 1/4" spacer to center it to the stock position and even 1 stock bolt hole almost fit. So i made a 1/4" spacer thats a templet also to easily drill the 2 new mounting holes and file 1 stock hole in the frame. Once i have drilled the 2 new holes with the templet from both side of the frame. I then redrill the outside of the frame larger to install a steel sleeve. Then i weld the sleeve in. I also cut a 2" D shaped hole on top of the frame to clear the front of the steering box. Even the stock mercurys steering arm fits this box with a little file work. I have hoked this box up to many stock steering columns by shorten them and add a bushing to the end and of co**** a coupling joint. This box is real close in size and fit as the stock steering box so if your stock box clears your motor and exaust this power steering box will probally fit also. This Jeep power steering box is close in size but much stronger than the Izusu Redo and Toyota Corona box. I now offer this kit with or without the power steering box so if interested Pm me.
That is cool, I bought the adapter from Fat Man that used the mid 70’s F-150 box and as soon as I tried to mock it up I realized it was garbage so I sold it.
