In response to the PM'er who thinks I am wasting a good buildable car.

There is no frame, engine,****** or suspension, that was sold to a Hamber that wanted it and had a use for it.

I like to call it yard art or for the well bred it's lawn sculpture,,some may call it junk,,call it what you will,it's mine and I like it!

This photo was taken when the parts were first ***embled around the tree,,,before I buried the bent and broken model A rims in the ground and added the bulbs and plexigl*** covers for the headlights.HRP

A friend of mine has a 29 roadster on 32 rails in front of his house as a planter; flowers growing out of it everywhere. The car was in a bad garage fire and every panel is wasted, but the shape is still recognizable. The doors are fake, but the rest is real. Even the hard core locals, most of whom have looked at the car, won't touch it, but it looks great in the garden.

Here are some car parts as usable yard art. A bird bath I made from an old ford axle and a buick wheel cover.

Primer- your going about this all wrong- if the PM'ers think is such a great car- Put a price on it! It'll either get em to shut up or worse case, use the money to buy another one to put around the tree :D

Well, here's my driveway marker/yard art. Got this 48 Dodge in a deal with some other things and really didn't know what to do with it, so I decided we would have some fun with the old girl and make her a land mark.

I think It's very cool when stuff like this happens over time by accident! Just like at
"Flat Top Bobs" Salvage yard! in Texas!
It's not something you plan for! There's not enough old iron out there for us. If there were there wouldn't be a bussiness in Repro Boddies!

HRP, Got any current pic's with full bloom on the flowers, Saw an old international one time up in M***, that the guy used the bed for flowers and sunk the wheels in the ground and landscaped around the truck on the same order as you did. It looked great in full bloom when I saw it. Just my .02 cents..........Jack

HRP,,I really like that too!!! Let's see it it in full bloom!!! The only thing that ruin's it is the rope holding the doors together...LOL...I am sure if you could have saved it you would of..I am sure the pics make her look better than she is...sort of like and ugly woman on a drunkin' night ( or vise versa for the girls..don't want to offend anyone) LOL

If you look at the snow photos you will see the rope is gone,,,it is wired together with bailing wire now,,,

We have been under mandatory water restrictions this summer due to a 2 year drought,,,so all the flowers are dead!:( HRP

There is a 49-54 chevy pickup at an oil change place in Auburn Hills, on Op**** in the garden out front flower growing all around it. Kills me every time I drive by, I NEED the doors off it!. It's actually not too bad looking from the road.

I dig it! Maybe the old couple is crazy...I still dig it!

'HotRodPrimer' - I dig yours too...and well said!

'Tommy V' - Those are cool pics! Wish it was my yard.

'Plowboy' - That's funny how you have that stuff nailed up high on the side of that barn. It reminds me of putting the cookie jar up on the top of the fridge in full view, knowing the kids can't reach it!

We don't need all this rusty old tin anyway.....that's why we have fibergl***!

    Incoming.....!! :D

  30. I guess some of these post prove the point that some people will do anything for shock value or just to prove they can, kinda like flippin off all the rest of us that consider cars as treasures and not just a bunch of rusty metal. There was a time when we didn't know any better, like Hollywood in the early days, but now we should be wiser, Hollywood isn't, they still like wrecking cl***is cars for "entertainment” but I would think anyone that would be on aboard like this board would be different. I The love the at***ude "it's my car I'll do what I want". I guess the guy with the Graffiti coupe should run it into the bay, just to watch it sink, and heck the guy that has the original Hirohata Merc. should park it in the yard and plant Tulips in it, their cars after all
Saddest of all is you think it’s so funny that it bothers the rest of us, I find it sad you takes such pride in your actions… Just this old fools opinion… I’m done
