Sycamore,Illinois..July 26th..who's goin?

just wonderin who is plannin on goin to the big Sycamore show...they are shootin for 1000 cars, almost got that many last year....lots of HAMBers and HAMB style cars show up, along with other very nice rides.
...hope to see a bunch of you guys there.

I have been to this many times, but the listing in Old Cars Weekly says it starts at 4:00pm? It was always an early AM deal and then we stayed and drank for a few hours....

I got a flyer for it at Gears and Ears, the 4 PM time is the cruise night. Registration for the regular show runs from 8-noon with awards at 3:30. I don't see a website listed...

I'll be there with my Pontiac since it's right up the street from me. Look for the "patriotic" p***enger door! It's Red (old paint), white (bondo), and blue (newer paint)! I ripped off the old patch panel and haven't gotten to fixing it yet...

I heading there this year. Sycamore was HOT last year and it actually fills the whole down town area. Didn't we have a HAMB meet and greet last year too? Anyone up for one this year? Oh and you need to get there super early if you want to park on the main drag.

 

I was workin there today and stopped at Marty and Sons but everyone was at lunch when I got there. Oh well next time.

I am plannin on goin down on sunday to the show.

...how bout a meet n greet rite in front of the courthouse steps on the south side of the courthouse, half way between the steps and main street (route 64)?...that's where we had it last year....how bout 1 PM?

...a bunch of the Tin Butchers are planning on parkin together; to do that, we need to drive in together, no savin spots at Sycamore.

The car show is part of Turning Back Time weekend here in Sycamore-

Friday- Summer on State- Free screening of Back to the Future, real De-Lorean cars will be there. The movie starts at dusk on the corner of Somonauk and Elm Street

Saturday- Cruise Night- Cl***ic car cruise parade, live music, 50's costume contest, remote control car races 3-11pm on the corner of Somonauk and Elm Street

Sunday- Fizz Ehrler Memorial Car Show will be Sunday July 26th. Regristration is 8am-noon and Awards are at 3:30 pm.
