trunk find

    barn finds are great had a few of those, bought this 53 chev about 6 years ago, did not do much with it. well last thursday i opened the trunk the lock was poped a long time ago took a few min with the screwdriver to get it to unlatch and wow look what i found> a pretty cool sunviser with all the brackets, anybody else have a good trunk find??

    Found a pair of 690 409 heads in the back of a 67 chevy station wagon, included chrome dripper valve covers too!

    I found a nice sheet of stainless steel once. Not enough for a firewall but good for dash dress up.

    Old coworker worked in a body shop in the late 1950's, and a wreck came in and was parked in the back lot for two weeks in the Daytona area. When the car finally rolled into the shop it smelt funny. Before the wreck the lady had been shopping, for Thanksgiving dinner, not a happy trunk find.

    You had a old car for 6 years and never looked in the trunk:eek:
    Nice find, looks like you have a few cool old cars stored away,the belair is also pretty cool itself what else have you got tucked away in there, is that a 60 chevy I spy on the other side???

    63 ford and i think the 59 ford is next to it, i dont have a 60 chev

    My wife bought a used AMC about 30 years ago, drove it around for a while before looking in the trunk. when she did, she found someone's ASHES.
     
  15. well when my grand father gave me his 46 fleetline i dragged it home and whent through it and when i popped the trunk found a toolbox full of lot's of old airplane tools (my grandfather was an military aircraft mechanic) , the car was his daily driver.

    Seriously, I usually only find dead critters and old hubcaps. Maybe the occasional neat old soda bottle. Cool score!

    I found a fully dismantled nailhead in the trunk of a 61 buick once the funny part is the original was still in the car and running
     
  21. My buddy who owns a local junkyard popped a trunk and found the deceased owners headstone.....Its still there.

  23. the engine is in my "truck"

    Found a full Tackle box, 2 rods, and 4 empty brake fluid containers under the hood

    made it about half way home and found the reason behind the emptys

    I bought a '58 Fairlane and found a falcon trunk lid. Sort of a trunk in a trunk story.

    Junk in the trunk of a '32 3W (rumble seat).

    Original radiator, headlight and various other misc. parts.
