A few pictures from Goodguys Columbus over the weekend. Didn't get any on Friday (camera was DOA ), caught some between the raindrops on Saturday and gathered most in the sunshine on Sunday. Cool little wagon What everyone says I should do with my hood on my '53 Chevy A bike built by the Garage, Jason Grimes, out of KY, pretty cool! One of the cars in the pro touring class One of my top 3 of the show! Neat little pick em up truck Someday I'll own one of these, probably not pink though This is for Don Moyer
This car debuted on the GG circuit 4 or 5 years ago. I'm still smitten by it Neat kustom. Lots of green cars there this year! Brookville roadster car Nice car, I wonder how it faired getting out of that mud Saturday night headed over to Pig Iron (or as we all say Iron Pig ) with a host of HAMBers. The streets were crazy flooded! I love this sign, it is always up Kind of needed pontoons... Sunday was sunny, yippie! A cool A sedan my friend Elliot and his brother have been re-working with an early 60s theme in mind, it is for sale if you are interested!
Another of my top 3 from the weekend Wonder if anyone listened to their 'momma'? Cool Packard Neat roadster, Olds powered I've always liked these And rounding out my top 3 this gorgeous piece Would have been awesome with a dressed Flatty but we won't talk about that part Cute little bucket. Was a winner in some traditional hot rod class. I probably should have entered the '32 in that category Another red roadster And a blue one for good measure Close to cool
I liked this roadster Nice little coupe Ok, I lied I have two more favorites, I think I've seen them both before (Royce's car for sure) I think this is Pinkies new creation. Like I said earlier, green seems to be an in color this year! People will say anything to sell a car And last but not least, what looked to be an old custom All in all despite the rain it was a fun weekend. Seemed like it kept a lot of people over until Sunday since Saturday was such a wash. The car count seemed just as strong as ever and a lot of new cars too!
Thanks CGR I was wondering how that show went, saw alot of cars heading out for that show..than all hell broke loose with the rain. If your looking for an experimental 53-4 Chevy hood, to pop a hole in..lemme know
Thanks for the photos, Megan... Even though O/T, I've seen this car a couple times and have to say it's a damn nice car, and even more impressive that it's mostly owner-built! That marine Y-block intake, and the pickup it was in, was cool, too! Malcolm
Megan, Thanks for the picts. I know, I shoulda went. Didja happen to take any interior shots of the Packard?? Scott.
Nope, you should have been there to look at it yourself Seriously though, no, I didn't. It was a cool car I'm not sure why I didn't take more pics of it. And yes, your absence was noted.
Ms. Megan, Thanks much for the great shots. Hope those who stuck out the rain had a good time. My apologies for missing the m&g (if it still happened) on Sat. I was hoping to put some faces with the names. As host club we were trying to put out a few fires in the pouring rain. At least we got the laundry done. We'll try again next year. Looking forward to the B.S.C. in Norwalk. Al
Thanks for the pics! Loved the shots heading to the Pig Iron. We forded some water that evening ourselves (In fact there were waves on the streets!! Also liked the shots of the "Beverage Center". We saw this bar on the way there as well and had to take a shot in the rain...
Thanks for the pics....funny how there are gremlins at the goodguys events ( my old black one was there also, he went over to the Len Imke/ Dick Teague AMO meet on sunday and won a Bronze for race car)
Great Pix!! How do I get in touch with your friend Elliot , about his sedan ?? Sorry I missed every one this year Had to be at the shop all weekend....oh well, I'll be hitted the shows this fall fer sure !!
You were missed, I wondered where you were! I thought I had his number in my cell but I don't, I probably have it at home. If not I'll see him for sure this Saturday at the Spinout in Brimfield, you should come up, you could check the car out in person! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=351869&highlight=49oldscoupe
Thanks for the shot of my 36 Ford 3-W, sorry about the lack of the flattie but you could have mentioned it is still FORD powered Just kidding I am just glad that YOU liked it. Larry.
Ok, ok, Ford in a Ford, props for that I realize Flattys aren't for everyone, your car is still BEAUTIFUL though! It is, and yes, hot rod perfection!
Megan, did you happen to take any other pictures of that Packard above? I'm working on a similar project and that car is inspirational. T
