This is our 55 Courier. It has been a project for about 2 years. It has a 272, 3 speed overdrive. The roof still needs some rust repair so the car will be left in primer for awhile. I just want to get it on the road. As far as we can tell it has not been registered since 1973. I have used the searce option on this site and learned alot about these old cars, A big thanks to everyone here for being so open with help and information..
Real nice. My 55 more door 272 with the stock 6v system didn't like starting on cold mornings so I mounted a 12v battery between the grille and rad and had jumpers in the trunk. Attached that 12v batt and boy did she crank then. Trickle charged the 12v once a week or so. Took the 12v out in the summer. That system worked good for two years until I sold the car. Really like the courier style good luck with your project.
We are going to keep it mostly stock. Will most likely convert to 12 volt. It has been a fun project car..
12 Volts is one of the best things you can do for it, starts real easy, and you can see where your going at night. Love those sedan deliverys.
