Uh. alright. So my primary project car is a 1973 Plymouth Fury III is there any restriction on this on this forum? if there aint, is there anyone with 70s furys out there? thanks, "furry tree kid" (as someone called me)
ahh crapper.. alright. I better find myself a new forum.. thanks for the help and inspiration from yall anyway. Ill probably be checking in during the winter when I have the '47 Dodge in my garage (be sure to watch the sky for pigs flying) thanks again! furry tree kid
...and if you have questions about the mechanics of the fury, just say that you have a 47 dodge with the drivetrain out of a 73 plymouth, etc....
what do you want to know. they aren't as heavy as people think so use that fact along with some wheaties under the hood and pray for twelves. The front crossmember should weigh approximately 1/3 of the Golden Gate Bridge and there are no hi performance parts available (for the most part). 1. make it look like you want. 2. make it sound like you want. 3. cruise.
I know of no hiperf parts for the engine (its got a threesixty LA) I have a 318 block and most of the parts laying around (heads, manifolds, crank, cam, pistons) Is there anything I can do with what I have?
When i said not much hipo potential- i meant the chassis---there is plenty to be done with the powertrain. There are lots of Mopar guys here, and my mill is a 360 (well 415) that gets it done. good stuff in the LA Mopar mill. 18degree heads, 6.123 rods length, big diameter lifters for more aggressive cams, lighter than a small block chevy. The transmissions are stout, as are the rearends. The power train doesn't care what year the car is, so ask away in regards to hopping up your two ton roadster..
