Any Hambers going to the Hudson Nationals this week in Detroit? Im here now. This is the 50thy anniversary of the Hudson Club and the 100th Anniversary of the Hudson Automobile.
Matt Ive been in and out all week. Ill be there again Friday evening. Have you caught any more hambers? Good Turnout. Its killin me not having my car ready! Has it been fun? Mike
Hay Matt...Did you drive my old '39 112 coupe out to the motor city? I was reading about the meet on the HET site just yesterday, and wondering how many of the old members from the 70's and 80's are still active. Folks like Carl Weber and the Gleydura clan come to mind. If you bump into any of them, or Jack Miller & Ken Poynter, tell them the old red head said "Hi".
Matt has a 39 112 coupe! Matt, did you drive it out here? Im in the process of building one! Thanks Mike
I spent the week there. It was awesome! Over 400 Hudson, Es***, and Terraplane vehicles showed for the event. There was a handful of modifieds there, not all Hamb friendly, but still impressive. Click here to view for more pictures on myspace!
The 39 112 Coupe is my Uncle Dan's. Rich V. is one of its former owners (no kidding!) My Uncle is a purist so he kept it stock. Its a beautiful car.
I've been meaning to post pix from the National. My brother took 250+ pictures. I've been involved in the Hudson Es*** Terraplane Club my whole life. Hudsons are a family affair we have 5 of them between my dad, uncle my brother and myself. The Hudson club is part of our family through and through. This years national will go down as one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had. It was truly a week of "Hudson Heaven" Here is a link to my brothers pictures: http://web.me.com/firestone79/2009_HET_National/Hudson_National_2009.html
Matt, Ive seen pics of your uncles 39 before. I actually use shots of that car for reference. I really hope to be on the road next year! Its great to see some younger people like myself involved in the Hudsons. Mike
Damn I wish I would have seen this post back a couple of weeks ago! You guys were in my back yard, I didn't even know about it We could have met up one or two nights.
