1950 ford 16 in wheels?

a friend of mine has a set of 16 in steel wheels on a 50 4dr sedan, they look as tho there factory with small hub caps. dont have any pics yet but just wanted to know if in fact in 50 they built 16 in wheels for fords or might this have been a option on police cars or ? thanks hot rust

 

My 51 had a 16inch spare. Dunno if this was stock or not, sure someone on here will know.

 

Early '49 production was 16" - recently someone here said they were an option as late as '52 ???
