I think whatever a car club brings should be able to receive the "King of Clubs" award. If a car club worked hard enough to build a serious car...........?
We're coming and bringing all the artillery .

HUGE thanks to Axle for helping us out with the tunes. Anyone who knows him can vouch for his huge array of vintage tunes! Remember, we're bring back the Boyd look!!

We're heading up tonight to start setting things up and stuff ourselves at Barona's king sized buffet. For those that haven't been, once you pass the resort/casino on your left, the track is ahead about 5-6 miles on your left. Just when you think your lost it appears;) It's easier at night because you'll see the lights. Remember, FREE camping tonight and tomorrow!!

Nice win for the 1930 Ford Model A Pick up at the King of Clubs race at the Barona Drag strip!! Really nice Hot Rod and FAST!!! Scary with those skinny tires but he kept it on the track without punching it into the wall. Really good driver!

We'd like to give a big thanks to everyone that attended our show this year. Despite some fierce heat, traffic and grinding recession several clubs made the trek from afar. Thanks to the Aces, Shifters, Cavaliers, Emperors, Cat Killers, Corsairs, Ghouls, just to name a few of the long haulers. John Parker of Primer Nationals fame even rode all the way down on his 1947 Indian! We truly appreciate all your support!

Thanks to Anna Marco and Ol Skool Rodz magazine for coming down, hanging out and snapping some pics of our club and cars.

Thanks to our good buddy Kev Elliot from Rod & Custom for coming and supporting our show as well. We had a few technical diffuculites with his truck this morning but Miguel scrounged a dizzy from one of his cars and got him headed home.

Once again, A HUGE THANKS to our buddy Axle and all the Shifters! Axle was spinning some tasty vintage tunes at the DJ booth all day and seeing Marky hammering the 'Purple People Eater' down the track was mind blowing!!

Lastly we must thank one of our own. He's known by many and hated by few (Actually none) and he has devoted himself to the preservation of this show. He also cooked through the night making sure everyone had plenty to eat at our club hosted bbq. His name is Miguel Torres. He doesn't always drink beer, but when he does... ...Stay thirsty for next year my friends.

thanks to all the lifters for a great time with a special thanks to magoozi for all the work, i know he's got a ton of time in organizing this event each year. turn out was great but i think more guys need to actually run their cars next year. seeing the ppe run and dale and butch's gassers going rounds in the all out race finals, as well as making a bunch of passes in the 34 made for a really fun time so much so i pretty much forgot about the heat except when the tech guy made me wear a jacket but i needed to loose a few pounds anyways.

already looking forward to next years show

i've got some pictures to post as well but it's been a really long weekend so i'll try and get them up in the next couple days

thanks everybody, my apoligies to the catkilers for my screwup, I spent 3 hours in the tower making shure the anouncer had the right info on who was racing. I missed the final heat because some dude decided to do brodys at the top of the hill and fell off the cliff, but we lifted his car back on to the road. I couldent read badfellas writing, because I am blind as a bat, why do you think they call me magoozi.I will give justin the computer sheet with everybodys time slips so you can post it.Nobody deserved the king of clubs trophy than the catkillers, these guys show up since friday and were racing all night . say hello to the lordsmen for me and tell them I hope to see them next year. I will write more later, but I have not slept in three days.

I guess Dale gets to keep my King of Clubs trophy for another year.Man, I gotta get my '55 finished for next years race.

Also, I want to say thanks to Justin B for running the shit out of his freshly built Poncho powered '34, and he was definately not affraid to beat on it.

I just wanted to brag just a little on the Cat Killers street class win. I know Rich (aka. Richy the Wrench) is a humble guy who was driving the Black 30 Model A TRUCK with bias plys. He even smoked a few guys running slicks.

The video is of a couple of the Cat Killers "KILLING IT" down the track.
