Earl beat KS Pittman with the Corvette, don't know about Cookie. I think he did catch Pittman sleeping. Hot Rod has a picture of my car going up against Hayden Proffitt in Mickey's 421 Tempest. I don't know what round. I was just wondering if I could fill in the blanks, but I realize it's been almost 50 years!
    Thanks

...this is pair of the "Middle Eliminator" trophies from the 1962 NASCAR Winternationals in Daytona. (Yes, ...NASCAR had drag racing in Daytona) Races were held every day for a week and trophies were given out each day. These were two of the "daily" Middle Eliminator trophies and the overall cl*** winners received a much larger trophy. These are about 24 inches in height and are marble and solid cast toppers.

  4. The trophies are long gone so now the picture is a trophy.

My sedan won over 100 trophies in the 1950's and 60's . I have about 24 that made it to me with the car. I have 12 from 1957-1963 and the other 11 are from various Autoramas on the east coast in the mid 1960's .

Here's the only ones in my collection. The first is my Dad's drag racing trophy, won at the Chandler ***ociated Drag Strip ( CADS ) in 1958. He was racing a '53 Chevy with a 235 6-cyl out of a '54 Corvette. The others are just World of Wheels trophies won with my t-bucket.
