I got the photos below from another thread.

I'm painting a big Chevy and would like to know the exact color of this
car. Anybody know the car or who owns it? This color has been haunting me....

    Thanks!

That looks very much like Marina Blue used on early Novas, Corvettes, Chevelles, Impalas, BelAirs, like every thing Chevy made during the mid-late 60s.

Colors don't show so true on TV or the Internet but it is very close.

I don't think it's dark enough for N***au blue. It looks more like a Caddy color. they made several "frost" colors that were high metallic.

I thought it was an old Corvette Color but haven't found pictures
that match the blue really well.

Seems a little "brighter" than Marina blue, but that is kinda close.

There waas also a Maui Blue (I think) during the mid 90's on Chevy trucks. Looked kinda close.

  9. I had a GS 1100 Suzuki painted a simalar color in the mid 80's. I think it was a Nissan color. Ice blue or something like that. Looks great on that "A".

  10. FYI..This 63 Corvette is N***au Blue.

A guy I knew painted his 4x4 62 chevy that color. He said it was a pontiac color "Ice Blue" is what he called it.

Looks like a custom color, or at least pearl in the clear coat to me. The Mini Cooper light blue is a similar shade.

If someone knows the car, I would definitely be interested in a confirmation of what is happening there.

    Regardless, I LIKE IT!

Now here's a 67 Vette I took pictures of at a local car show.
I don't know the exact color but it is kinda close but not as bright...
This is the closest Vette color that I've been able to find.

That looks more like a 60's era Chrysler/Mopar metallic Blue.
They tended to be more on the silver side than GM did.
Then, I'm just looking at the color my computer wants me to see....

Print the picture, take it to a paint store & have it mixed.

    i just painted a bike that color...Chopper blue pearl paint code# 908588 base/clear.

  20. I think the guys who mentioned early vettes were on the right track, but I think the colour looks more like "Silver blue metalic" which was a fairly uncommon '63 vette shade. It's beautiful in person too - kinda "pearly".

My apologies for swiping this off the web  :

  21. It kinda looks like GM Harbor Blue. My Dad's 57 Chevy has a Harbor Blue dash and garnish moulldings, and they look pretty damn close. It's hard to tell from the picture. Great color though.

I had an 84 chrysler 4 cylinder hatchback I painted with that color. I don't remember what it was but I remember going over the paint chips and I'm thinking 70% it was a chrysler color from the 70's or 60's.
problem is I bought some dark metallic levi's blue laquer with a twist of pearl for a chevy and I could be remembering looking over the gm chips for either car. I definitely remember looking over the cvhrysler chips just don't recall if that's what I picked for the dodge. I do remember it was like a werner enterprises blue but with more silver and a bit of indigo. When the weather was overcast outside it actually GLOWED blue more colorfully and with a distinct contrast to other visible light sources than on a bright day.
