Since you asked for customs, I'll start with the body:
    - All '51 trim details replaced with corresponding parts from 1950:
Grille, hood, bumpers & guards, headlight rings, side trim, taillights, deck handle, dash.
    - '49 hood ornament and dash knobs.
    - '51-only trim and door handles removed (50 holes filled)
    - Front wheel wells raised 2"
    - Seams filled at tops of quarter panels and below headlights
    - Back sides of bumper guards filled solid
    - 55 Buick hubcaps with '63 Galaxie centers
    - Polo Green paint

    Interior:
    - '49 dash with '50 trim
    - Custom steel valance below dash for A/C vents & controls
    - GM tilt column, Nardi wheel
    - Leather upholstery patterned loosely on 3.8 Jag interior (except bench seat)
    - Tach mounted at lower left corner of windshield
    - Hidden CD player

    Ch***is & Drivetrain:
    - Mid-'70s Camaro front clip, narrowed 3" & stepped 4" at firewall; disc brakes
    - ZZ3 crate motor
    - 700R4 trans
    - 15 x 6 steel wheels, 215R75-15 Diamondback WWs
    - Lowered ~ 4" at rear with lowering springs & blocks

Body & paint were completed in 1997; interior was '98.

    Thanks, Gregg!

I'm partial to my own car, but here are a bunch of other '51 Vic pictures I've saved:

Vicky's are awesome. 50 Fraud your car is done so clean it looks like it was born that way. AMAZING.

I saw the flaked black vicky you posted for sale on goodguys website but he wants 80k and its driver quality i heard. Its also one bad *** vicky just out of my price league for sure.

  13. Wow, cool thread as I went to my buddies barn today and in the corner was a 51 Ford Vicky. I went to look at a 38 Chevy and the Ford caught my eye. The car was in Hot Rod Black , frenched headlights, Mustang Rack, Lincoln Versailes Rear, white interior, set up for SBC, new gl*** not in car, body was straight and smooth, wide whites and custom caps, car was dirty from sitting but looked like a great take over project, I didnt spend much time on it as I was limited even on my time with the 38, but it is for sale, he said 11,500 and I'm not sure if that is a match as I really have not followed this market. I'm charged up now as I see some of these pics.

He's on the HAMB and there was a thread with a lot of pictures of the car about a year ago (maybe more). I don't remember his name, though. Anybody else remember it?

Maybe OT but this is what happens when you cut the top off of a Victoria.

49-50 Convertible top mechanism, late model pump mounted under the boot, nosed, decked. Sits on a 51 Victoria frame with a 50 X-member welded in, AMC Pacer sub, 8” rear, 327/350, 50 front seat (which doesn’t work too well).

Bottom picture is the direction I’m heading. Already have the wide whites on new 15” wheels, fake Appleton’s, bubble skirts are hanging in the shop, still looking for the smooth grill but have a 52 Dodge grill as a fall back.

Looking for a 51 front seat, smooth grill and guidance on chopping a convertible top mechanism. Any help would be appreciated.
