Just got home from one of my wife's friends mother's house (hard to say!) She called because she has sold the house. Her dad died and her Mom went to a home and she is cleaning out the house because it is sold. She found boxes of old hot rod magazines in the basement and wanted to know if I wanted them. There are tons of them and many I have never heard of. The newest are in the 60s and the oldest are in the 40s. Looks like I have lots of reading material for the next few winters!!

Damn, I wonder if that is going to happen to my stuff when I kick off? I know for sure that I have WAAAAAAAAY too much and that my wife and daughter are going to be pissed that I didn't do something to clear this crap out.

    That said, nice find!!!

That's a gold mine you're sitting on. Either for reading or as patrick66 said those would buy a lot of parts.

I had a pretty sweet basement find once. Kids dad went to prison and he had collected early olds speed parts for a long long time, also alot of NOS mostly for 49-51 or2 88s and early 442 stuff. Anyways, got 2 truckbeds of shit out of there, or i guess i should say gold. I had a triple deuce intake for a 303 family that looked like it was never installed. I got it for 100 bucks and the kids mom said "thank you so much for cleaning out the basement!!" I had to chuckle and laugh a bit and told her "anytime" Got a bunch of vintage mags i traded for a 37? GMC tho. Kicker was that she had a lot of cars, probably 50 or so in the back and there were a few hemis and rockets she thought everyone was trying to screw her when she got offered money for em so she ended up calling the crusher and made like a total of 3k. And there was alllllloooooot of stuff. Ok im done.
