My carb looks like hammered dog turds on the inside so I figure good time to upgrade. Im thinking of going the Holley/Weber 5200 from lagdon stovebolt. I have the 170 engine with the log manifold. Dose anyone know how big of a h***le the linkage is gonna be? Will the old load-o-matic dizzy be an issue cause of the SCV?(will a pertronix II kit make it work or do I need a different dizzy all together?) the performance handbook for the ford 6 (kind of an oxy*****) just seems to be confusing the hell out of me not the most well written book
No other carb is gonna work with the stock distributor. Find a carb and dist. off a newer Ford 6 like a 200 Maverick or Comet.
