My carb looks like hammered dog turds on the inside so I figure good time to upgrade.
Im thinking of going the Holley/Weber 5200 from lagdon stovebolt. I have the 170 engine with the log manifold.

Dose anyone know how big of a hassle the linkage is gonna be?

Will the old load-o-matic dizzy be an issue cause of the SCV?(will a pertronix II kit make it work or do I need a different dizzy all together?)

the performance handbook for the ford 6 (kind of an oxymoron) just seems to be confusing the hell out of me not the most well written book

No other carb is gonna work with the stock distributor. Find a carb and dist. off a newer Ford 6 like a 200 Maverick or Comet.
