Today we went to the Swedish Mooneyes Rat Fink Reunion show in By Kyrkby, just outside Avesta in Dalarna, Sweden. We travelled there in my li'l brothers '49 shoebox. And guess what, he won the price for best custom. Cool! Last: The swedish Ford Hot Rod/Flathead guru Lennart Djurberg got the Mooneyes/Gasoline Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award (first year for the award this year). A webpage about Lennart here: http://www.usabil.nu/reportage/djurberg.asp (in swedish, sorry...) He's been into Hot Rodding since the early 50's. He bought this Deuce Roadster in '55 when he was 20 years old and payed 325 swedish kronor (about $45) for it then. It has a hopped up flathead in it which he built in the 60's. He has been driving over 75 000 miles with it during the years. He says most people think it's just an old classic car, so they get quite surprise when he puts the pedal to the metal.
