Thats Robert Bruno's Steel House . Its been published in a lot of architectural mags. I remember seeing it on TV and I thought it was really cool. Its really built like a custom car. It made of steel plates and welded. I would love to see it in person one day.

check out the inside...amazing metal sculpture work!

Thats kinda taking yard art to a whole new level. Impressive metal work. I can't imagine how many hours/days of welding was invloved.

Does anyone live there or is it just a art piece?

    ltex old iron,

cool - thanks for the outside shots.

    Paul Y,

    thanks for that link.

I recall seeing this house on Extreme Homes or something like that on the HGTV cable//satellite channel.. or as I call it 'the house channel'.

I remember liking really liking it, especially the view. It is definitely something different.

That is really a kool looking house ! Recycling at the finest ! :D
I can't think how hot it would be inside of a all metal house in the sun all the time ! I am sure they have a great A/C unit to take care of that !
Here in Pa. about 1/2 hour from me there is the "Shoe" house ! Yes it's a real house that is a huge shoe like the little old lady that lived in the shoe ! There is also a family that lives there too !

Obviously a man who kinda knows what he wants, is willing to make changes when he decides to go in a different direction, and doesn't give a damn about the passage of time.As Cheech and Chong would say" I ain't into time , man !" An amazing house , a great design, and a huge project; the man has to have unbelievable patience and determination in order to complete a project of this size and complexity. And who is to say when it is finished! Waldo

Man I'd totally live in that house. I wonder how long it will last until the rust takes it down?
