Many times these cars were converted to a dump hauler. If it was licensed as a truck in some states the plates were 1/2 the cost of a car.

Consider yourself lucky if all that’s gone is your lid.

This is mine and after pulling it out of the berry bushes I called Bville roadster. Tried to get some partial quarters to fix it, ya right.

    Naw, seriously.
Mississippi didn't use titles until the mid-'70s (if I'm remembering correctly?).
Our good ol' boy neighbors in Alabama were even later than that.
    Like maybe last Thursday.:D

I was in Texas last year with a friend who insisted on stopping at a junk store/antique shop and I bought a Model A deck lid for $10

Bruce, you get all the good stuff from Texas and sneak it back across the border. Still got that Model A on your porch? I'm still coming to see you some day.

  8. Mine went missing when it blew off on the freeway on the way home.
In the excitement of trailering the coupe home, it didn't bother me that the hinges were missing. At about 55mph, with no windshield or upholstery, it went away. Luckily enough, nobody hit it, and it skidded off into the shrubbery. It lived to rumble another day.

They are the new '32 grill shell. Everyone should have 3 or 4 hanging around on the walls or in the rafters! :p

a little off topic but my dad had a 37 nash and he was gone workin an ice storm and it was me and my brother and his friend and we were wanting to go sleding and we had a fourwheeler and they were dragging around the top of the trash can and it kept braking (plastic) so i run over to the side of the shop and borrow the trunk lid to the nash...... when dad got home a few days later and the trunk lid was beat all to hell and no way of fixing it he wasnt very happy..... and i have never had a chewing like that one (but keep in mind i was only 7 or 8 so to me it was just a sled at the time) i dont think he will ever let me live that one down

  15. Every car I've found pushed over hill sides or in 400ft in a valley with 1950 license plate has no axles, where'd they all go. Did someone pull them off down below and drag them up. That's what I want to know. Wtf
