    Hmmmmmmmm you can definitely see different styles.......East vs. West. Thanks Doug, some brought back alot of memories.

    can you look inside to this artical and let me know if this car was built by a guy named brienza if so this guy is looking for this car ..it was sold to a guy in new jersey...

    Thank you for posting these. I have several of them myself. Not trying to hijack this post, but I believe My Gradfather was photo'd with his dragster at the 3rd WSOD in that first issue of Car Speed and Syle (pictured above) as well as a couple of others...

    Damn now I need to dig through my filing cabinet to find a couple of those mags. The best part is I recognize all the covers as gotims not needims . Been collecting for 30 years. P.S. I didnt realize I was that fuckin old. THANKS ALOT!!!

    thats a nice collection of HONK! magazines you've got, those are pretty hard to find

    the car craft with the "guide to buying used engines" is my favorite cover of all time

    Wow!! I feel like a '49er who just hit the motherload! Thanks for taking all the time to scan and post these Doug. Just Awesome.

    We need some kind of hamb library to store and organize posts like these for reference. Maybe we need a library tag or something.

    edit: I guess maybe the "art & inspiration" tag is close enough.

    Mazooma, thanks so much for posting those up. Must've taken lots of time.
    They're my new screen saver...

    I have a few of the little books and love looking at them. Some of the things/methods mentioned have been totally forgotten over time. Some of the featured cars are crude but so interesting. I especially like the advertising.
