We took just a little bit out the roof of this old chevy...minus the needed body work...whatcha think?
Thanks guys... The winshield is 8.5 rubber to rubber, not legal but I'd be surprised if Texas cop knew that law, and yes good eyes that is a worked 70 camaro bumper for the grill...
6" is the minimum chop to get into Ol Skool Rods. 4" is the max to get into the old farts club... at least in my chapter anyways doesn't matter how tall the gl*** is
I think chopping a car should enhance the lines of a car and make it flow better, this car now looks like it got smashed. More isn't better in most cases. You wanted to know what I think, there you go. But that's just my opinion.
I dig the chop. Is that you on your avatar? If it is, can I have a copy of that pic you took? Cause that chick has her foot on my car!
Here's a pic of the B-pillar...so I guess with a 7.5 inch chop and a 3in pancaked hood its enough for Ol Skool Rods Well I guess when it comes to a heavy chop you either love it or hate it...
I ***umed there were codes for windshield hts but this is the first time i've seen numbers. I've been told (state policeman) that in VA there had to be enough room to get an inspection sticker on it. I haven't read it, and have been trying to confirm it. I whacked mine 8". Anything under 6" isn't chopping, its' a trim-'just a little off the top, if you please'
Here are two sort of side views...one during the build and one at round up in Austin. It didn't get leaned forward, it got dropped straight down, not sure if this was the best idea or not but seemed easier since it is a four door...the plan was to accomplish two things not often done #1 chop a four door and #2 go beyond the normal 3 or 4 inch chop. Yes someday it'll have some chrome, but its got lots of body work and a few body mods to finish first! Still under construction, I just don't believe in hiding it in the garage until its ready to win best of show. If its driveable enjoy it
I dig the chop, and to all you Nye sayers who think it looks worse, or is ruined... the following is for you
