  2. Garage Magazine #2. Cover shot. Chick is sitting on what you're looking for. Think there's another shot of it in the mag. too.

Careful, the teeth and eyes look extra gay if you get too detail orieneted w/ the air brush. They look much better when done w/ a house paint brush, IMHO.

Heck, why don't you just do a search for WW2 Nose Art, rather than using some "Rat Rod" for inspiration [IMG]

There's a guy in the UK with a roadster that has/had a nose-job just like that. I'm sure he's one of the East Coast Sidewinders. I'll ask around for a photo.

Charles Older is not going to be happy to see that. [IMG]

I did a 1/25 scale Model A pickup with a Flying Tiger on it a while back. Maybe I can take some pics.

Here's a couple of P-40s for inspiration. Not quite period-correct, but I like the caricaturized artwork.

That looks good on the Cowl, most I have seen before look kinda wrong, I think the difference is the fighters seem to be bigge at the bottom where the teeth are where Hot Rods are normally smaller and busier in this area..... dunno mabee I have only seen bad ones.... but I too like the idea [IMG]
There is a guy I sell magazines too over here doing nose art on replica airframe parts.... had a bunch of warbirds guys going bannanas at him recently as they thaught he was cutting up ol planes [IMG]:) so I guess they look o.k.

Like someone said, most don't look right.
The A-10 Warthogs are real close to the shape of a cowl,I have seen alot of them with the teeth.

I'd use Japanese flags that contained little Honda, Toyota & Mazda emblems. I think that would be fairly self-explanatory. [IMG]

Pete Millar used to sell these great little,"kill"decals back in the early 60's.They were profiles of cars with the name on the side and even had a police car with the word,"fuzz"written on it but I guess he got flak for that one so the later versions eliminated the word. Here's a painted version.
