I have a 52 styleline deluxe and a Pontiac chieftain The chief is on her way out due to uncontrollable human retardation and an 84 ford... Any way I like the front fenders on it. Will they fit on my 52 Chevy?

not sure if this is the model Pontiac you have though, it's probably a trick Canadian pontiac!

all measured up and should fit nicely. Now the procrastination....

  5. I'd be interested in seeing the swap.

A couple years ago, just out of curiosity I measured my 52 Pontiac (non canadian) and a 52 chev styleline in a friends shop and I recall the pontiac front fenders were longer by about 4". I thought it was to accomodate the the straight 8. I have read that the Canadian pontiacs were rebadged chevs and had the same dimensions.

  6. They will bolt to the cowl but they do not fit the car due to the Pontiac having a longer nose including 4 1/2" of wheelbase - they're 119.5" where the Chevy is 115". You could try swapping the entire front clip, but these years the entire difference is in the nose and the wheels will not line up in the arches. Been there, done that.

The Canadian Pontiacs of this era vary, some models are more or less rebadged Chevys, some are pretty much straight US 6-cyl cars.

Nice. Very good answer. I think a clip swap ids a bit out of my budget right now though. But good idea. I am planning on swapping a chevy s10 clip though.
