I didn't really take as many photos as I would've liked to...I was too busy having a really kick-*** time at this event with friends. I just thought i would share a few. The Studebaker truck was a buddy of mine's...we went to college together and I hadn't seen him in 10 years. Billetproof brought us together...aww. He uses the truck to promote his business and asked me to take a few 'better' shots of it while we were out there. Enjoy. And the Austin panorama again:
And I forgot my favorite shot of the day, the lonely but smile-inducing drive home on that hot Texas afternoon:
Wow, wide angle black & white photo's really mess with the minds eye, the mind or maybe I just......never mind! Cool shots, cool cars. Thanks, Rick.
Man, I really REALLY like the photos of the Studebaker truck. What tricks did you use to make the colored photo so cool? Thanks for sharing, Joe
Great photos... would like to use some of them for the Billetproof archives, I'll send you a PM. the effect on the Stude truck is called an HDR photograph (do a google search and you'll get tons of info on how its done)
Great photos and the black and white is quite fitting for the occasion. I spent many happy and fast moving miles looking at a dash quite similar to that one. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
The effects on the color photos are all done post-processing. I do image processing and manipulation for a living..just one of those techniques that gets requested from time to time. My buddy showed me some ads that were done this way and asked if I knew how to do it so I did those for him. Thanks for all the compliments...i'll shoot plenty more at the next event.
HDR is one method that produces similar results but this technique I did is actually done with a single image in the RAW conversion process as opposed to three or more bracketed images that make an HDR. But yes, Google HDR and check that out. Not my cup of tea but it does make cool effects.
But, Jobe. . .you'll never fit in one of those trucks AWESOME photos, McTullis. . .that last "lonely" driver shot is remarkable. . . McTullis = Ruler.
