Fresno Donut turnout, few new people turned out. Got good BS session going. Kinda neat to have casual meet ups like this. Maybe possible shop tours later. Any suggestions post up. Maybe meet up and tour to another location for breakfast each Saturday. Something to keep it fresh, Post suggestions. How about meetup and head to Woodward park, or Roeding park like the old days. I was planning on going yesterday but it looked like rain so I went back to bed. I'm not into donuts at all, I still think BJ's at Cedar & Herndon would be an ideal spot. They have great food, a huge lot and if you want to cheap out theres a McDonalds next door. I'm hoping to make it this coming weekend, I've got the Comet drivable again so look out.
Supposed to be every saturday, I haven't gone since the 1st one and was considering going tomorrow. Rocky
Seven a.m. is too early for Saturday and donuts suck. This would be much better a little later and at another spot. I suggested BJ's at Cedar & Herndon but I never got a yes or no from anyone. The heat and it being a holiday isnt helping either.
Maybe these should be changed to once a month and try to get them more organized. I know I don't have any room to talk since I have'nt managed to get to one yet but I'd hate to see this go the way of every other thing in the town goes. What is it about this area (I don't want to single out Fresno) that people have to be dragged kicking and screaming out of their caves to do anything? How about a set day of the month (first Sat or whatever). I know I get so busy that I usually space out and completely forget, hence the reason I have'nt managed one. Is there a way to have a sign up list and auto-email everyone. I know I should'nt be old enough to have these memory gaps but they...uh..what were we talking about?
I second that Muttley, although I do fancy the occational donut. A regular sit down B-fast sounds better. Seven is kinda early but in the summer it a lot cooler than 9:00. BJ's would be cool.
