wicked paint! I dig the whole package, but some how feel the rear wheel/tire combo clashes with the paint. ET III or Hilibrand mags with M&H Racemasters would realy give it that altered or street comp roadster look.

One vote for the paint.... But I would loose sleep at night driving that on the street with the oil filters in that position. One bad bump and your rear tire is going to be covered in slippery oil which is not conducive for straight line driving.

Cool paint, but I'd rethink the pipes if you want to actually drive the thing.

Looks like they're ready to get hit by something and get oil everywhere.

Very cool paint. Reminds me of a give away car at show I went to as a kid back in about 75. It too was a T Bucket.

Shades of the 60's. I lived that era and I really think you captured the look of the period. Mixed media is what it was all about in the 60's and early 70's. Why don't you come to Indy and paint my delivery, eh?

I remember looking at a paint job almost like that with a severe hangover in about 1973 or so. get the rest of it correct to the period of the paint style and you will the old farts like me arguing that they saw it run back in the day.

Wow, that was at the Pileup according to the pic you posted... And I missed it!!

I thought the paint was kind of cool when I saw the body pics, but the car REALLY is unique when it is all pictured together. Cool ride.

Have to agree the yellow filters look out of place. But the car is overall definitely a SWEET ride! I like it.

Will it be at the Pileup this year??

Cool paint for sure, ChicagoSlackers1 - you have it down - colors work great, great detail, it hits the mark.

Keep it up! I'm a huge fan of these styles myself. Lots of comments about 60's in the thread, but I'm thinking you are in the 70's. Flake was 60's for sure, even 50's... but when you get into the candy fades and fish scales, you are stepping into the wild experimentation of the early 70's for sure. No doubt somebody was probably doing it in the 60's, the innovators!

Very cool. Again, keep it going. The 70's styles might never make a strong comeback, but they will always make people take notice, and get a strong reaction. People either love it, or hate it - not much in between!

I don't know how he did it, but I've done some air brush stuff on smaller pieces by cutting a stencil about 10 scales wide, then just move it and airbrush around it.
