That's a cool PU Zibo. Love the windshield.

Can you give me some rough frame and suspension details?

    Zibo, that truck rules!

I'd like to get some details on it also; wheelbase, frame height/ground clearance, kick-ups, suspension details, steering box info, how'd ja make that windsheild? My RPU won't be a slavish copy of yours, but I really like the way yours looks.

    Thanks, *****6 [IMG]

here's a really oldshot, with 6.50's on back (7.50's now)

it is high enough to crawl underneath to fix stuff.
the wheelbase is like 108 or 113.

suicide front end, '36 rear spring behind axle.

    thanks alot,
    tp aka zibo

Zibo's truck is super cool in person! There are about 10,000 little details on that thing that don't show up in those photos. Everything from the seats and the package tray under the dash to the giant wing nuts on the steering column and the detail pieces on the windshield frame. The truck is awesome. I must have spent an hour looking at it in Paso this year. If you're looking for inspiration to build one of your own, you couldn't pick a better truck than that one!

I watched one on Ebay recently, old hotrod, had a nailhead I think, lasalle trans, wire wheels, and not a lot else, was mostly complete but pretty...real rough. Bid up to 2700.00...reserve not met.

I really wanted it but negotiated a deal on the 55 I'm headed to buy so i let it go....

Cool old truck but I wouldn't have paid more than 4K for it.

hope that helps old school 40.

  13. The pic that roadstar posted of the 32 is mine, that pic was when Jim Stroupe owned it. Glad you liked it.

Seen a million of 'em, but none I really liked much better than this one I caught in the parking lot at Milt's Cafe in Bakersfield while attending the '01 CHRR. Talk about "keeping it real".

My other favorite is one that was the subject of a build in Hot Rod or Rod and Custom back in the '60s. Can't recall much about it (who owned it, etc.), but remember it ran an Indy-style Offy 4-banger (on the street) with injector stacks sticking out the side of the hood. Anyone happen to recall/have photos of the car?
