Here's a couple I made for my Safari.First one is made of red oak and birch;the other made of 1/2" optical grade Lexan. The others are ones I've modified;the Olds has wheels on it and was used for hood ornament races. It lost.
That's not a hood ornament.. it's the spaceship from Invasion of the Saucermen '57! hahaa http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58m6ruFSdqM But seriously that's as cool as shit!
I just picked this up at a garage sale today for 50¢. I think it will look good on the hood of my '60 land rover pickup. -Jeff
Little Squirt is actually a dispenser for the top of your liquor bottle. But I thought he would make a good radiator cap ornament. Especially if a guy hooked a hidden windshield washer pump to him. .
I have a nice bronze Sinclair Brontosaurus (now called Apatosaurus) from an award desk set that would make a good hood ornament. Sorry I'm not picture capable right now.
Looks like a longhorn steer or a Minotaur from the Grecian(not the custom car) era. Just carve up some nice horns and you're there.
Now i dont remember his name, but theres a guy, which btw should be on here too, that makes cast ornaments of superb quality. I bought one off e-gay couple years ago, its a classic devil head w/ wings. Other subjects are the classic flying eyeball, the flying whel, tiki god and some others i cant remember. If anybody knows what im talkin about post his work, its vey nice, i cant post pics, for some reason i have no manage attachments link???
A variation of Manneken Pis, located in Brussels Belgium; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manneken_Pis Alex.
that's just to funny. you could have a few laughs at every cruise night on unsuspecting curiosity seekers every time they bent down to take a closer look!
Tingler: The owner needs to rig that ornament to send rocket fuel pellets out of its ass that roll down a chute into the mailbox. Don't thank me!
shades of the J. Cash tune "one piece at a time"...? If this was built to get a chuckle outa folks....it does it does it does....
