This morning I clicked on an users profile. When I attempted to press the back button, I hit something else and all hell broke loose. This downsized the viewing area of all pages. I have a large beige border around three sides of the screen. Also, I can no longer view pictures, I see a blank white spot where the pictures should be. I can still see "attached thumbnails" is in blue, but the spot is not active. All avatars have disappeared. Albums are blank . Somebody surely has a patch for this. I searched the FAQ and can't find anything.

Somebody please help me, I'm addicted to this site.

    Thanks,

    Robert.

Crap like this is hard to handle long distance, an EASY fix might be to download a new browser like Firefox and start fresh....

    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ie.html

I use IE most of the time because of work issues, and I like it, but it can be a real bitch to reset browser setttings and the settings can persist even beyond a re-install.

Try downloading firefox for a "fresh start"...

    System restore!

I like the new HAMB. I typed that reply in all caps and it converted it for me.

System restore is in the start menu under [ALL PROGRAMS] then slide to [ACCESSORIES] then to [SYSTEM TOOLS]

    Good luck!

Just tried the restore and set it back to Sunday and it didn't work. My wife could probably figure it out, but I have to catch her in the right mood. We are about to leave on vacation and now is not a good time to ask her.

Any other ideas? I love looking at all of the pictures, especially the cars and trucks for sale, but Unless they are posted as something other than attached thumbnails, I'm SOL.

    Thanks,

    Robert

Been away from the computer for about two weeks. Still having the same problem as described above. Using firefox, did the restore. Don't know what else to do. This is the only forum that I frequent that has this problem. Some how, whatever I inadvertently hit disable the headers and the ability to see attached thumbnails and avatars. My computer at work does not have this problem so it is confined to this computer, but more specifically, this website.
    Techies, please help me.

    Thanks

Do you have as scrol mouse? one with the round buttom on it? If you hold the Ctrl key and scroll the mouse it will resize everything in your Internet Explorer. See if that helps you out.

    Chris,

Thanks for the suggestion, it does resize everything, however, still no headers or thumbnails attachments.

    Nico32,

I'm using Firefox, any advice there

    Chris,

I've lost the headers that show up on this web page. I do not have the ability to see at the top of the page, for instance, where it says Jalopy Journal, The H.A.M.B. etc. If I move my cursor to the location of where say, the Jalopy Journal is, a blank rectangle box appears and I can click on that and the Jalopy Journal opens up, but without the headers or graphics that go along with that. Thumbnails, just a blank box, and no way to open it. Avatars, gone. Smiley face icons that are available to add to your post, gone.

    This is driving me nuts.

Halileuah, I figured figured it out thanks to nico32. based on his advice for Internet Explorer, in Fire fox I went to Tools, Options, content, and clicked on "load images automatically"---- Exceptions. Lo and behold, for some reason beyond explanation by me, Jalopy Journal was blocked. Have no idea how clicking on athe back button could block images. Gremlins????

Anyway, all is well on the site now and I can continue my viewing pleaseure. Thanksfor all of the helpful advice.

    Robert
