Saturday Morning they held the Motor Tour in conjuction with Meadowbrook's Concours D'Elegance. We found a place on the route and grabbed some shots. Which of these cars could be built into a cool rod.

One car out of all of them that wasn't piloted by some old stick????

Someone should stuff a 409 into that Caribbean and see how many cardiac arrests it would cause.

It's a show with 250 invited cars that range from Br*** Era antiques to Muscle Cars. The had 12 drag cars in the show this year. I'll have some photos up from the show on Monday.

That would make a great highway cruiser with that much power.

Thanks for posting the photos! I'll take the Kissel, but would have to repaint it a different color.

Thanks for the pictures, I drove by on Saturday (t-ball) and sunday (church) and caught a glimpse of some of the cars in the trailer parking lot. One of these years I need to actually GO.

Yeah, I'd say so considering you only live like a block from Meadowbrook.

Nice to see the cars being driven and enjoyed on the open road. Thanks for posting Mike. Looking forward to your show coverage.

Let's not piss on the older guys/gals as all of us will be one some day.

You tend do see older guys with mid-30s Cl***ics for a couple of reasons. First, the cars cost a fortune and not too many younger guys can spare the that kind of coin. Secondly, it is one of those things that many guys end up gravitating to as 30s era represents the "top of the mountain" for car construction.

Glad to know that hotrods (specially traditional hotrods) were invented by the current group of young guys.

Maybe ProEnfo will post up some shots of Barb Hamilton, Dave Hales and a bunch more 60's racecars that were there (injected and/or blown V-8's in a cl***ic Willys, what's the world coming too!). I hope so.

Thanks for the pictures! I do appreciate the cl***ics too.

  22. Great shots. Very nice cars, thanks for the post.

  23. i like that more Concourses are having a mandatory tour to go along with the show. i hear the pebble beach tour is almost more fun than the main show.

Nice group of Packards. By the way that Caribbean, might not need an underpowered chevy truck engine. Some of them were equiped with a dual 4bbl 374 with 10 to 1 compression ratio and 310 HP and 405 lb ft of torque, backed up by a hydromatic. Then there was the supercharged option which put the HP over 350. So the old stick may have been able to open a can of whoop *** on your hot rod.

Mike, I hope you got some good shots of the Bob Ford '62/'63 Galaxie. It is one of the converted '62 to '63 lightweights. A buddy now owns the car.
